Privacy Policy

This policy explains what this website collects when you browse it, fill in a cart or send us a message, and what it does not. We keep it short because the site keeps very little. Last updated October 2026.

What stays in your browser

  1. Your cart: the books and quantities you add are saved in your browser's local storage, so the cart is still there when you come back. It never leaves your device unless you go on to checkout, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
  2. No tracking: the site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and its fonts and images are served from this site rather than from a third party.
  3. The map: the map on the contact page comes from Google Maps and is loaded only if you press "Load map". Loading it sends your IP address to Google, underGoogle's privacy policy.

Checkout and accounts

  1. Checkout: when this store is connected to Shopify, your cart is created on Shopify and your browser keeps only its id. Checkout, payment, shipping details and order emails are handled on Shopify's hosted checkout, underShopify's privacy policy.
  2. Accounts: customer accounts, where offered, are also Shopify's: signing in takes you to Shopify's account page. This site itself stores no passwords or payment details.
  3. Demo mode: without a connected store the cart is a demonstration only: nothing is sent anywhere and no order is placed.

Messages and newsletter sign-ups

  1. What is sent: the contact and FAQ forms send your name, email address and message (and, if you fill them in, your phone number and a subject), and the newsletter form your email address, to the form service this store uses, so that we can reply or send the newsletter you asked for.
  2. How we use it: only for that purpose. We do not sell it, and we delete it on request. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it removed, write to hello@example.com.
  3. Changes: if the store adds a service that handles your information, such as analytics or a new payment option, this page will say so and its date will change.

We want every book to arrive as you expected. If something is wrong with your order, we will put it right. Last updated October 2026.

1. Eligibility for returns and refunds

To be eligible for a return and refund, please make sure that:

  • You contact us within 30 days of delivery.
  • The book is in the condition it arrived in, or arrived damaged or misprinted.
  • You have your order number or proof of purchase.

2. Items we cannot take back

Some items cannot be returned unless they arrived faulty:

  1. Gift cards.
  2. Books that have been personalized or signed to order.
  3. Digital downloads, once the download has started.

3. How to start a return

Write to hello@example.com with your order number and what went wrong. We will reply with the next steps, and refund to your original payment method once the return is settled.

Orders and prices

  • Prices are shown in the store's currency and may change before you place your order.
  • Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email; if a book turns out to be unavailable, we will refund it.
  • Payment and checkout are handled by our checkout provider, under its own terms.

  • The text, photos and design of this site may not be copied without permission.
  • Book descriptions and covers belong to their publishers and authors.
